Detail:
The Amazon Web Services in Education program is pleased to invite you to attend a seminar on AWS and academic research and teaching in the cloud. Since its launch in April of 2009, the AWS in Education program has provided grants in the form of free usage credits on AWS to over 200 universities in 20 countries.

Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable and scalable infrastructure for deploying web-scale solutions, with minimal support and administration costs, and more flexibility than the traditional data center. It’s a compelling platform for academic research as demonstrated by the diverse research use cases we have provided grants to: http://aws.amazon.com/education/aws-in-education-research-grants/

The inherent flexibility of the AWS cloud enables academic researchers and teaching faculty to use it for research and for teaching of cloud computing/distributed computing concepts. In this session, Simone Brunozzi will provide a technical overview of AWS and explore interesting use cases relevant to academic researchers and the Singapore IHL community.
