Abstract

In the age of the virtual era, many organisations are realising that their traditional and incremental Infocomm strategy is potentially at risk from being outpaced by cloud computing services. Responding to such pressures with a revised strategic cloud computing roadmap is not easy in a market still very much full of choices and directions with relentless technology changes. What is clear is that for many major commercial and public organisations is that complete adoption of cheaper external cloud services in not realistic for a variety of reasons. What we can expect to see in future as common place is that major organisations will blend both public and private cloud computing as a compromise or balance between compliance risk and pressure on operational costs. In this presentation we will take a look at what components make up a balanced cloud computing model, develop an understanding of how we can better innovate and improve customer satisfaction.
