Abstract
Challenging business environment calls for new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and mobile applications based on Cloud-technologies that are flexible and economical to meet the needs of corporate end-users. These challenges affect the way software is developed and delivered. The speaker will review the market drivers that make Cloud-based services important for the software business, the important development and delivery challenges associated with Cloud-based SaaS and mobile applications, and the approaches necessary to develop and deliver successful applications in the Cloud.
About the Speaker
Lim Chinn Hwa began his 17-year love affair with IT as a systems engineer with SCS, and moved into R&D environment working at a start-company from Stanford University. He founded Nothacker Pte Ltd in 2006 and renamed Aksaas in 2008 to reflect the direction of the business the company is moving into.
This talk series on Cloud Computing is organised by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, supported by National Library Board, Singapore Computer Society Special Interest Group on Enterprise Cloud Computing & Virtualisation and Imperial College Alumni Association of Singapore.
