Abstract

Cloud computing is one of the most important shifts in Information Technology to occur in decades. It has the potential to increase the agility of organizations by allowing them to quickly deploy applications and services on a pay-as-you-need model. Cloud computing provides a reduction in capital and administrative costs; lowering the barrier of entry to cloud customers and greater computing power at a more competitive price.

The foundation of every cloud is a robust, scalable and secure virtualization substrate - the hypervisor. In this session, we will discuss the different types of hypervisors available in the market today and their respective strengths and weaknesses. We will also share with you successful roadmaps to virtualization via the open source model; associated strategies and insights gained by key industry players, so that you too can create scalable, agile and secure cloud environment for your organization.
