SAN FRANCISCO -- Hewlett-Packard Co. , Intel Corp. and Yahoo Inc. said Tuesday they created a research initiative for the advancement of cloud computing research and education. The companies partnered with the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology on the initiative.
