Abstract
Cloud computing is an important IT delivery mechanism that provides Infrastructure and Applications as a service. It leverages the power of sharing and increases resource utilization.
Implementation of cloud demands a phased approach that starts with the cloud management software, capable of integrating with and managing the existing infrastructure seamlessly and efficiently.
This talk will highlight the methodology and phased approach to implement a cloud and the openness of the solution necessary to integrate with other resources in the data center.
Biodata
Arif is a cloud computing architect from Platform Computing. His responsibilities in Platform include:
- Delivered seminars to CXO and IT leaders, on effective management of IT resources and implementation and integration of private cloud infrastructure.
- Contract negotiations for private cloud implementation and integration.
- Customer requirement analysis and oversee the delivery of Platforms private cloud solution.
- Contributed in the design of Platform ISF self-service portal
- Designed and developed custom cloud solutions and integration for strategic customers.
He has more than 15 years of experience in high technology, aligning infrastructure requirements to business goals and objectives. His key roles are in Technology Management and Enterprise Architecture. He had more than 5 years of Professional Services consulting experience as a business manager and lead Architect and was responsible for managing and leading teams of internal and third party consultants, across geographies on global deployments.
He holds Master of Science, Computer Science from California State University, Sacramento.
About the Cloud Innovation Centre
The Cloud Innovation Centre (CIC), operated by Platform Computing with the support of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, enables Singapore enterprises, independent software vendors and start-ups to accelerate the adoption of cloud computing technologies in transforming their business for greater competitiveness and productivity.
