Abstract

Building a national level grid is a real challenging task due to the size, scale, and complexity of the system. Currently, the Thai National Grid Center operates a National Grid that link more than 20 sites nationwide with more than 1000 processor cores. Many applications and services have been deployed and used on a daily basis by users. This talk intends to share some experience that the team encountered when we start working on the construction of Thai National Grid a few years back. The challenges encounter will be presented along with the decision, tools, and techniques used to overcome these challenges. Finally, we found that simplicity is the key in making everything works.
