Abstract
The purpose of this presentation is to share
with Singapore researchers on the details of the e-Science
projects that are being undertaken at the Edinburgh University.
The goal is to generate interest such that Singapore researchers
understand enough to follow-up with the respective e-Science
teams directly.
The National e-Science Institute
(eSI) at the Edinburgh University has a e-Science visitor
programme that can help
to identify potential e-Science projects with UK researchers.
This program welcomes overseas visitors from academia & industry
who are engaged in research, development & application
of grid technologies, or e-Science. It will pay for expenses
dependent on the duration of stay, which can be anywhere
from days to months. eSI would connect visitors with researchers
in regional e-Science Centres & for regional e-Science
Centres to suggest potential visitors. The programme runs
3 rounds of submission each year, with the following closing
dates: 1 October, 1 February & 1 June.
